Welcome to Quranlingo. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Quranlingo mobile applications, websites, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

Quranlingo is intended for use by individuals of all ages, including children. Children under the age required by applicable law to enter into a binding agreement must use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Where applicable, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for:
  • Creating and managing child accounts
  • Monitoring a child's use of the Services
  • Ensuring compliance with these Terms
By creating an account for a child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian or otherwise have authority to provide consent.

3. Accounts

Users may create accounts using:
  • Email and password
  • Sign in with Google
  • Sign in with Apple
Certain limited functionality may be available through guest access. Guest users may not have access to all features and progress may not be saved.
You are responsible for:
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
  • All activity occurring under your account
  • Providing accurate account information
You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Educational Purpose

Quranlingo is an educational platform designed to support Quran learning, memorization, understanding, and pronunciation practice.
Quranlingo:
  • Is not a substitute for qualified Quran teachers
  • Is not a substitute for scholars or religious authorities
  • Does not provide religious rulings (fatwas)
  • Does not provide legal, educational, or professional advice
Users should independently verify religious matters with qualified scholars and teachers.

5. Speech Recognition and AI Features

Quranlingo may use speech-recognition technology and AI-assisted pronunciation analysis to provide educational feedback.
You acknowledge and agree that:
  • Speech recognition technology is not perfect
  • Pronunciation analysis may contain inaccuracies
  • Results are intended solely for educational assistance
Quranlingo does not guarantee:
  • Uninterrupted service
  • Perfect speech-recognition accuracy
  • Error-free educational content
  • Complete accuracy of automated feedback
Users should not rely solely on automated feedback for religious or educational decisions.

6. Audio Recordings

The Services may allow users to submit audio recordings for recitation evaluation. By submitting recordings, you grant Quranlingo the right to process such recordings solely for providing the requested educational functionality.
Unless a user explicitly opts in through the application's settings, audio recordings are not retained for model training or service improvement purposes. Where a user expressly consents, recordings may be processed anonymously to improve speech-recognition systems and educational features.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

Certain features are available through paid subscriptions, including parental monitoring and dashboard functionality. Subscriptions may be offered on monthly or annual plans. Subscription prices are displayed before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

8. App Store Purchases

If a subscription is purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, billing, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the policies of the respective store. Users must manage subscriptions through the platform where the purchase was made.

9. Web Purchases

Subscriptions purchased through the Quranlingo website or web dashboard may be processed through third-party payment providers. Users may cancel such subscriptions through the cancellation link included in billing emails or by contacting [email protected]. Unless required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

10. Intellectual Property

All content made available through the Services, including but not limited to lessons, questions, translations, educational materials, designs, graphics, user interfaces, software, logos, and databases, is owned by or licensed to Quranlingo and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Users may not:
  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute content
  • Modify content or create derivative works
  • Commercially exploit content
without prior written permission from Quranlingo.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
  • Use the Services unlawfully
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Interfere with platform functionality
  • Reverse engineer the Services
  • Circumvent security measures
  • Upload malicious software
  • Use automated tools to scrape content
  • Violate applicable laws
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.

12. Community Features

Quranlingo may offer community-related features such as leaderboards, family groups, challenges, and friend connections. Users agree to use such features respectfully and in compliance with applicable laws. Quranlingo may remove content, rankings, or accounts that negatively affect the integrity of the platform.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Child Privacy Policy, both of which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood those policies.

14. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with third-party providers, including but not limited to Apple, Google, RevenueCat, analytics providers, and cloud service providers. Quranlingo is not responsible for the availability, policies, or practices of third-party services.

15. Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update any part of the Services at any time without liability. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, secure, or error-free.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." Quranlingo disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and reliability.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quranlingo and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption. In no event shall Quranlingo's total liability exceed the amount paid by the user to Quranlingo during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quranlingo and its affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable laws.

19. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted on an individual basis. Class actions are not permitted. You waive any right to participate in class-action proceedings. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property violations or unauthorized access to systems.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the application, email, or our website. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
